MATTED PRINTS are available with either a 5"x7" or 8"x10" white mat and are ready for framing.

Photographer/Artist — Sylvia Graham
My first introduction to West Point and its history was as the photographer and graphics designer for the bicentennial calendar. The military customs, traditions, architecture, graduates, cadets, and stories rich in the history of our military academy created a desire to try and capture it in my photographs. At present, my job at the West Point Association of Graduates, as the managing editor for the Register of Graduates, and the TAPS supplement to the ASSEMBLY magazine have increased my interest in photographing the many "faces" of West Point. Not only do I enjoy taking photographs of the well-known ceremonies, buildings and views, but also of the old and new quarters on post. Some of these photographs have appeared on magazine and book covers as well as in many publications.
While working in the school system, I learned computer design and later integrated my photographic works, eventually developing my technique to make photographs resemble watercolor renderings. Working with graduates, cadet parents and residents, I have helped translate some of their fondest memories into note cards and prints.
Camera & Printer & Prints
Currently my main camera is a digital SLR, the Canon 40D, a 10.1 megapixel camera. My lenses are a Canon 18–55mm and a Tamron 28–300mm zoom. The quality of these photographs allows them to be used for magazine and book covers as well as for large prints.
All of my photos are printed on my Epson Stylus® Pro 3880. The ink is archival and will last . . . The smaller prints are printed on a heavyweight matte paper, and the largest is printed on a heavyweight watercolor paper. The quality is stunning.
